Description
Conceived by Megabass founder Yuki Ito and nicknamed "Uchida Craw" after the signal crayfish it so convincingly imitates, the X-Dad is one of the most distinctive crankbaits to emerge from Japan's bass fishing scene in the early 2010s. Engineered to bottom-suspend rather than float or sink, it hangs motionless in the strike zone when the retrieve stops - an unnerving posture that draws reaction strikes from lethargic bass during cold snaps, shad kills, and thermocline turnover. Its elongated lip deflects off rock, timber, and hard bottom with a snagless efficiency uncommon in lures that dive to 10 feet, making it a legitimate tool rather than a shelf piece.
The SB Flip Craw colourway is a Japan-domestic release in the SB craw series, finished to imitate a fleeing or flipping crustacean — a natural complement to the X-Dad's nose-down pause posture.
