The Lucky Craft Keroll is a unique frog-inspired top-water lure designed to combine compact popping action with an eye-catching amphibian profile. Originally released in 1998 as part of Lucky Craft’s “Virtual Bait” series, the Keroll became known for its distinctive appearance and subtle surface presentation.
Built with a rounded floating body and cupped face, the Keroll produces gentle pops, splashes, and surface disturbance when worked with short rod twitches. Its compact profile and detailed frog styling make it particularly effective around shallow structure, weed edges, and calm surface conditions where a finesse top-water presentation is required.
Although never considered a mainstream collector lure, the Keroll has developed a niche following among Japanese hard-bait enthusiasts due to its quirky design, early Lucky Craft heritage, and increasingly difficult availability outside Japan.
