Description

Part of the Bass Hunter R series from Daiwa Seiko Co., Ltd., Japan's largest tackle manufacturer, the BH Pencil R imagines a small baitfish in frantic escape, presenting the realistic appearance and large, appealing eyes common across the entire Bass Hunter R lineup in a slender, head-heavy pencil body designed with regular-sized wild pond bass as the primary target. Its compact form produces a head-shaking walk-the-dog action with an easy, slightly skating feel that responds naturally to varying twitch rhythms, allowing anglers to transition between surface walking, intensity changes, and diving sub-surface presentations in a single retrieve without changing lures. Now completely discontinued and absent from the market.

The Ghost Ayu colourway (ゴーストアユ) applies the semi-transparent Ghost finish to the ayu (sweetfish) baitfish pattern, producing a pearl-white, slightly iridescent body with a vivid pink head accent and black eye, presenting as a translucent, light-diffusing surface target in the manner of a real baitfish rather than an opaque lure body. The rear feather teaser treble adds a breathing, trailing movement on the pause that significantly extends the lure's strike-triggering window at rest.
