Description

Where the Hama Crank 62MR was developed for open-water Lake Biwa fishing, the Co Hama 55MR is Haruhiko Murakami's precision-scaled companion - designed specifically for spinning tackle presentations in closed and small areas, carrying the same zero-energy-loss design philosophy of the 62MR into a 55mm body that excels in pressured ponds, rivers, and tight-cover environments where shore fishermen work. Murakami, one of Japan's most respected bass professionals, developed both models during his years with Tsunekichi before establishing his own brand Issei in 2013 - making all Tsunekichi Hama Crank and Co Hama examples from this period genuine Murakami-designed collector pieces.

The Ginkaku colourway takes its name from Ginkaku-ji (銀閣寺) - the Temple of the Silver Pavilion - a 15th-century Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto and one of Japan's most revered UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Produced exclusively for Kyoto-based tackle retailers, the Ginkaku colour was never distributed through standard national channels - making it one of the most geographically restricted and genuinely scarce colour designations in the Tsunekichi catalogue, available only to anglers and collectors who specifically sought it out within Kyoto's tackle retail scene.
