Description
The X-80 SW in M Kinkuro represents the Hachimaru platform at its most atmospheric - a lure engineered for the conditions where most saltwater minnows struggle, dressed in a colour purpose-built for exactly those same moments. The original slow-sinking X-80 SW was developed from a ground-up re-engineering of the freshwater X-80 body, with a repositioned weight system featuring a fixed low-centre-of-gravity front balancer and twin rear tungsten weights that produce the model's signature rolling de-orbit action - a fluid, lateral break on the pause that reads as a disoriented or injured baitfish at any depth in the feeding column.
The M (Metal) finish in Kinkuro applies a foiled, mirror-like material to a black-gold pattern - "kinkuro" translating roughly as black gold - delivering a strong, opaque silhouette with deep amber-gold flanks and dark dorsal tones that hold their presence in low light, dirty water, and nighttime conditions where translucent baitfish patterns fade into the background. The green eye variant is a documented production distinction within the original X-80 SW run, actively noted and sought by Hachimaru collectors as a point of difference from the standard eye examples.
