Description

Described by Megabass as "the core of the Live-X series, indispensable for wide-range fishing in all seasons" - the Live-X Margay was specifically conceived to reproduce the Live-X Leviathan's action in a compact 68mm body, capturing both lively action and castability in an ideal size and form. Its Multi-Purpose Centre of Gravity Transfer MK-II-T system - patented and transplanted directly from the Live-X Smolt - generates a stable high-range action on straight retrieves and transitions instantly to unpredictably irregular acrobatic darts on the twitch, with each weight responding independently to every rod input. This 2000-dated example is the original Live-X Margay - predating the Margay Tungsten upgrade and the Step Cat variant that would later address the original's large-lip casting limitation - representing the founding generation of a platform that Yuki Ito loves so much its reliable catching power has not diminished since its debut.

The GG Oikawa Female (GGオイカワ♀) colourway - confirmed from the original Japanese packaging - renders the female pale chub in natural, non-breeding colouration through Megabass's Guanium Ghost finish and super diamond coating: a clean, understated olive-brown back with silver-white flanks and fine holographic scale detailing, presenting a natural, non-threatening clear-water profile that complements the Margay's precision finesse presentation.
