Description

The Live-X Leviathan (F) is the floating variant of the lure that defined Japanese diving minnow fishing - a pre-SP chapter in the Leviathan story that predates the suspending model which would go on to dominate the market and overshadow it in production numbers. Dating to 1997, this example sits in the earliest documented production window for the Leviathan and carries the lighter 12.4g body weight that distinguishes the floating variant from the SP's 13.5g frame, with its buoyant recovery allowing it to be worked more aggressively over shallow timber and rock before pausing to rise clear. The Hakusei finish was developed by skilled craftsmen at the Megabass factory using taxidermy-grade techniques, originally conceived exclusively for the Live-X Leviathan - making Hakusei-finished Leviathans the purest expression of what the finish was designed to achieve.

The Honmoroko (Japanese gudgeon) colourway renders a small, subtly scaled silver-bronze baitfish native to Lake Biwa and surrounding river systems, precisely the waters that informed Yuki Ito's lure design philosophy throughout the 1990s.
