Description
Daiwa's Pop'n Frog is a surface crankbait built around a unique, carefully crafted metal blade attached directly to the leg form, designed to use the water surface as its stage rather than diving below it. Its high-buoyancy body shakes left and right generating the proprietary "Metal Slash" sound through contact between the metal blade, body, and hook - a rattle-type disturbance unlike any conventional metal blade noise. A cup positioned in the upper front of the mouth enables popping action and underwater bubble release on a short jerk, adding a popper presentation to the metal leg's continuous surface musical.
The Tsuchigaeru (ツチガエル) colourway, named for the Japanese Wrinkled Frog (Glandirana rugosa), a small, warty brown frog common throughout Japan's rice paddies, ponds, and waterways, renders the species' distinctive dark olive-brown mottled body with blue-spotted patterning in precise biological detail, the most naturalistic and regionally specific frog pattern in the Pop'n Frog colour range.
